用橄榄叶安全地调节血压
高血压是最准确预测心血管疾病的一个指标,这个美国人的头号杀手之一。不幸的是,主流医学的高血压定义已经是太高。根据目前的医学定义,所谓的“阶段I高血压”是在140/90毫米汞柱。然而,大量科学文献表明,超过115/75毫米汞柱后,每增加20/10毫米汞柱,心血管疾病风险就增加一倍。如果“高血压(数值)”的定义被向下修正,以反映中度高血压,那么数以百万计的生命可能得以拯救。这句话的意思是,我们每个人需要采取一切必要措施,使血压得到控制,无论医生怎么说。
第一个问题是,远远过时的(上个世纪30年代初)高血压的医学定义,尽管研究人员已经发现,最佳的血压应该是115/75毫米汞柱左右。而且,医生很少治疗血压在医学“可接受的”读数140/90 毫米汞柱左右。
第二个问题是,即使当病人的血压一直在140/90毫米汞柱之上,传统的医生仍然固执地不愿意治疗它。通常情况下,读数超过160/90毫米汞柱时才开始治疗,这增加了不必要的死亡风险。
第三个问题是,大多数患者只能在每一天的一部分时间里控制血压在正常范围内。
高血压的危害是,它会逐渐破坏整个身体微妙的血管和器官,并伴有一系列病症:老年痴呆症、视网膜病变、肾功能衰竭,中风和心脏病发作。
目前,可用药物来治疗高血压带来了一系列不良的副作用:水肿,电解质紊乱。
橄榄苦甙,一种橄榄叶提取物,有利调节动脉阻力或硬化(血压高的核心机制)。科学实验发现,橄榄苦苷在仅仅8个星期内降低收缩压平均11.5毫米汞柱,舒张压降低4.8毫米汞柱。
